A Note From The Director

Players, Parents, Coaches:

"Thank each of you for how you, the players, parents, and coaches, represented our organization this year. Let's continue to lead through our efforts and character."

To bring everyone up to speed, we have at least three of our teams representing the Sting Organization at AAU Nationals in July:

  • Sting Red 10th Grade
  • Sting White 10th Grade
  • Sting Red, 8th Grade

It is very exciting to see the progressed of the girls since last year. Equally important, is the dedication of our coaches and parents, I couldn't be more proud!

*Welcome*

The Georgia Sting Basketball Organization has a full compliment of talent this year. We anticipate another exciting year. We currently have a diverse high powered volunteer coaching staff, fully committed to providing the girls a competitive environment and mentorship to last a lifetime. The players, who's ages range from 11U-17U are continuously challenged on and off the court to put their best foot forward in everything required of them. We are always looking for new talent to add to our existing players to replace those who are considered graduates of the Sting program. If you are interested, please give us a call or send us a short message by clicking on one of the links below.

  Sting History   Sting Commitment
The Georgia Sting Organization has provided Columbia County, Richmond, and surrounding counties young girls, interested in playing basketball, an opportunity to compete at the highest level in Goergia and South Carolinia areas over the past 10 years. In 2001, amid rummors that the talent in columbia county could not compete at a higher level, sparked the beginning of the Georgia Sting. With just a few girls to fill a team and two parent coaches, the Sting set out to shock the CSRA. As time passed, The Sting has grown from just one team to over 7 and over twenty coaches.   The Georgia Sting Organization is committed to providing a quality program integrated with community and volunteer events. We are committed to encouraging the players to pursue a top level education. We understand that basketball can be a vehicle that can assist a player to achieve collegiate goals, but we know it takes a quality education to sustain any career. The commitment of charter is one of the first stages of success as we encourage commitment in all we do and all we ask of players, parents, and coaches alike.
